A YOUTUBER and fashion lover spent over $1,600 on Good American and did a haul for her subscribers.
She said her wardrobe was in need of some “cute, wearable items.”
A fashion girl wasn’t sure she loved the fit of a pink set she bought[/caption] She did think this black sweater was a staple that she would wear often[/caption]Hope Allen, better known as Hopescope (@hangwithhopescope), is a YouTuber who said she hadn’t done much shopping at Good American yet, so she was excited to do a video haul and share her pros and cons.
The first item up for review was the $119 Always Fits fuchsia pink Plisse Top with the matching $99 pants.
“Oh my god it’s so pink. Wow! It’s insanely comfortable,” she began.
Although the pants didn’t fit her as well as she had hoped, she said it’s because they sent her the wrong size.
Still, she was unsure if the set was worth the high price tag and admitted she was likely going to return it.
The next piece she unboxed was the Shoulder Slit Sweater Bodysuit, which is currently 50% off for $54.
“I was expecting a true knit sweater material, but it is not.
“Definitely a thin fabric as far as sweaters go,” she said, adding that it’s perfect for in between seasons.
Once she actually tried it on, Hope fell in love and said it was the perfect staple for her closet.
“And the slit just gives it that little somethin’ somethin’, you know?”
As for how she’d style it, she said high waisted pants, a skirt, or simple black bottoms with a coat would look chic.
“It just goes with so much,” she said, putting it in her “keep” pile.
As for another win, she loved the shape and fit of the Compression Terry Squareneck Corset, which is now 50% off for $57.
“Look at this! This might be my favorite top I’ve tried on,” she said about the heather grey crop.
Although she knew it was a bit pricey, the “beautiful structure” and unique neckline made it a “keep” for her.
Her favorite item from the haul may have well been this corset top[/caption]She paired the bodysuit with the $139 Good Classic Jeans in black.
“I have to say, this pair of jeans fits so well. I got a size 10, which is my normal bottom size.
“They have a good amount of stretch. I’m pretty impressed.”
Still, it wasn’t enough to make it to her “keep” pile, although she questioned her decision to return them.
Luckily, Hope found a pair of jeans that did win her over.
The $139 Good Straight With Split Pockets pants were her favorite.
She thought the blue jeans were the perfect fit, adding that she only buys jeans every few years[/caption]“I feel like these look so good. I love the length. I love the cut.
“I really like the wash and I don’t usually like lighter blue jean washes.”
The unique pocket design and stretchy fabric made her gush over the find.
“I just really struggle to find jeans that give me a good shape.
“Like generally, they flatten my bum and then they’re too big in the waist, too tight in the thighs; but these fit so well all the way around.”
Although she knew it was a steep price tag, she said when it comes to jeans, she’ll pay up if she finds the perfect fit – and she did with these.
Looking for a sexy leather top, she bought the $120 Faux Leather Bodysuit.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned.
“Oh my gosh. I haven’t even gotten this thing all the way on and I think I already hate it.”
After managing to squeeze into it, she said: “Immediately no. I don’t even want to try to put this on all the way.
“This thing is tight!”
Trying to wiggle around in the number but horrified at the fit, she added that it is “not very breathable” and “hard to move in.”
While she understands the appeal, she said it’s “not for me.”
As for some other items Hope returned, the Good Icon Faux Leather Diamond pants and Over The Knee leather boots were also no’s for her.
